Bali, Indonesia – Adams Gym

Adam’s Gym is located in southern Bali in the Kuta area. It’s only just off the main tourist strip of Jl. Raya Legian on Jl. Patih Jelantik, tucked away on the first floor between two shops and up a dubious-looking staircase.

It’s a small spit and sawdust gym with dated equipment and the main floor area that 5 occupants will make look busy. The equipment range from an old cable crossover, squat racks, barbells (up to 25Kg), hack squat and various old cast iron accessories machines. There is a small, lightweight punch bag in the middle of it with a little floor space to do core and stretching exercises.

It’s bright yellow walls certainly give the impression that the gym is bigger, there is a small studio upstairs, which is clearly marked ‘Girls Gym’. The staffs are friendly enough and have good English speaking skills (not that this is important as you’re in their country).

I enjoyed using the gym and it was actually cheaper to get a month’s membership than pay for day passes for a fortnight. You are also not far from Kuta beach which is great for a cool down walk or stretching on.

Great gym if you’re visiting on holiday and can forego the expensive and superficial hotel gyms in the area.
