Hong Kong – Anytime Fitness

Training in Hong Kong can be expensive…as is everything else on this wonderful island. We were lucky enough to still have a few days membership remaining on our Anytime Fitness keys.
Anytime fitness 24Hr Gym is located at 323 Queens Road West, Sai Ying Pun. It’s easily accessible by tube, just take the MTR and get off at Sai Ying Pun (B3), Walk up the hill towards Queens Road West and turn left, you will see the sign outside the Andes Plaza and its a short elevator ride down to the Gym.

It’s a typical small, low budget Anytime Fitness gym. If you are looking for a bit more in the way of bells and whistles, I would suggest looking at possibly Fitness First

It’s a basement gym so no natural light but does house all the necessities required for your beach selfies, squat rack, modest range of dumbbells and all accessories machines to accompany. There is also a small fitness studio which I used to hang up the punchbag in and chop away (if there was no class on obviously…not sure how the Yoga buffs would appreciate some coconut beating the bag when they are trying to unwind). It’s a no frills gym but the positives are that it was very quiet and no queuing for machines and not 3 people jogging on one treadmill.

Entry fee’s are a pain when working out and travelling on a budget so if price is a problem I would recommend heading to Victoria park or Kowloon park depending on if you are on the mainland or the island. These are beautiful outdoor parks full of highly active individuals, various pieces of outdoor bodyweight resistance contraptions and lots of Tai-Chi going on in the background….and best of all….Completely Free. Failing that Anytime fitness do offer a FREE trial pass that might be worth giving a shot as opposed to the $550 HKD per month.
